Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

The short version: there are no accounts, and your library never leaves your device unless you choose to export it. The longer version follows.

What is stored on your device

Conquest of Pages keeps your data in your browser's local storage: the books you add, your ratings, notes, tags and reading log, your goals and reading sessions, the species you have discovered, your achievements, and your theme and display choices. It also keeps a small cache of the app's own files so it loads quickly and works offline. None of this is sent to us — we run no server that receives it. Clearing your browser data erases it, which is why Settings offers a backup file.

What leaves your device

To do its job, the app asks a few public services for information. They receive the request itself, and — as with any website you visit — your IP address and browser details:

The globe's geographic data, fonts and images are served by this site itself, not by a third party. Each of the services above has its own privacy policy and is not controlled by us.

Analytics

This site uses Umami analytics (no cookies, no personal data) to count visits in aggregate. It does not build a profile of you.

Your choices
